We provide on site physiotherapy services:
-
Ultrasound A therapeutic modality that increases blood flow, reduces inflammation and spasm, relieves pain, increases range of motion and speeds healing, when applied to an affected area.
-
Electrical muscle stimulation A therapeutic modality, non invasive, used in the treatment of acute and subacute injuries. Clinical studies have shown EMS to be effective in increasing muscle strength and decreasing inflammation to the affected areas.
-
Joint and soft tissue mobilization A treatment modality designed to relieve muscle spasm, increase lymphatic drainage, increase circulation, restore correct joint function and normal range of motion.
-
Therapeutic exercises A treatment modality designed to increase stretching of the tight muscle or fascia, strengthening of the weakened muscles, mobilization of restricted joints and restoration of range of motion.
Following musculoskeletal injuries all the above treatment modalities are the most commonly used among physicians and physical therapists. These are some of the most effective rehabilitative treatments for soft tissue injuries (whiplash, muscle sprains, headaches, etc.) resulting from a car crash or a sport related injury. |
